March was a strange month. I was desperately waiting for spring each day, and while there were some nicer days, it still felt like winter most of the time. It was cold and snowing or raining (on warmer days) and every time I looked at photos from the last year, I wondered what's wrong, like are we trapped in a time hole or in 'Game of Thrones' or something like that? Fortunately, the last week was waaaaay better and it finally started to feel like spring. No winter temperatures anymore and the first blossoms started to bloom ^.^! Since I haven't posted anything...

If you're following my blog for some time now or if you know me personally, you might have already realized my love for food. I really enjoy eating good food, but I also love cooking, especially if I can cook or bake for my family. I cook almost everything freestyle without any recipe. I have some standard meals that we eat a lot, but I also like to try out new things every now and then. I also attempt to make every meal even better and better with each time, like trying out new herbs and spices or using different kinds...

How can I be 33 years old already? Okay, my birthday was actually already a little over 2 months ago, but I still can't really understand how that could happen. If I see other people my age (in reality, tv or blogs) I always feel a little strange. They are all so much more grown-up than me, they have their own houses, maybe one or two cars, a whole bunch of kids, a great career in fancy jobs I never heard of with loads of money (or just having money without having to work o_O) and are able to go...

Cooking with a small baby at home is near impossible. Especially the first months were really hard for me, but even now with a 13 month old toddler, it's still a challenge to find the time to cook and bake when I'm alone with Flynn. However sometimes I actually am able to make some great meals or cakes. And of course it's getting better the older Flynn grows. So today I want to continue showing you some of our family meals from the last 12 months. At least the ones that I took photos of and that are acceptable to show you....

Today I want to show you some of the delicious things I made in the past few months. Since I have so much more free time at the moment, you can see me cooking and baking more often than before. But I won't complain. I just love cooking, baking and especially eating ^.^°. I might not be perfect (yet), but I really like to try new things and I'm hoping to get better and better with each time. I think I have to, now that I'm going to be a mom real soon XD. If you're interested in a recipe to...

Last weekend we had some delicious barbecue pork belly and wanted to have garlic bread with it. But why buying some mediocre ready-made garlic or herb baguettes, when you have so many fresh herbs right outside at your disposal? So we decided to make our own baguette this time. Since we still had some leftover "party baguette" from the day before, which are a little bit wider and bigger than normal baguettes you can get here, we just used these as a base. They were still edible on the second day, but way to soft to really enjoy them like they were. Here's...

So in mid-May I finally visited my family in Hannover/Germany again for one and a half week. The weather was pretty nice. Not as hot as in Vienna at that time, it really felt like spring with occasional rain, that always stopped pretty fast again. We used a lot of time for gaming. We bought Persona 4 Arena and the new Naruto Shippuuden PS3 game, we played some Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and a PSN Bomberman (Bomberman never gets old!). We also puzzled all characters through "The Cave", a PSN download game by the Monkey Island creator. It was hilarious...

You don't know how I feel every time I am back in Germany and go shopping in a normal supermarket. There is a so much bigger selection of different food, drinks and snacks in comparison to what you can get in Austria in even the biggest supermarkets here in Vienna. There are so many funny, delicious, unordinary and crazy things. If you live there, it feels completely normal, but for me, living in Austria for over 9 now, it's like paradise. Funny things is that you can get almost all the Austrian, a lot of Swiss (except for Risoletto of...
