Yesterday we visited the Game City - the biggest gaming event here in Austria. It always takes place once a year in the city hall of Vienna, and the best thing is, the admission is free ^_^. You can play new games by almost all the big game developers here, like Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and much more just to name a few. For us people here in Austria the Game City is one of the first possibility to try all the new games after they were shown at E3 and/or Gamescom and I'm really happy that we get that...

Last year Nintendo's loyalty program Club Nintendo closed and before all our coins which we collected over all those years with our Wii, WiiU, DS and 3DS games, were gone for good, we had to cash them in for some rewards. You could get download codes for games, or special 3DS backgrounds, but we rather wanted to have some physical item. There were all kinds of stuff available over the years like pouches, coaster sets, game soundtracks or a Yoshi egg backpack, but with the coins we had, we decided to get the Club Nintendo exclusive Super Mario Card Matching Game,...

It's time for Mario Kart again! I've been waiting for Mario Kart 8 for ages now, and finally yesterday was the release day. Of course we had to get the Limited Edition with a blue shell figurine XD. Here you can see the box. I couldn't wait to open it! And here's the game and the blue shell. I does look a bit intimidating, doesn't it? I think it's a really cool item. It matches our Mario figure collection perfectly! The Mario Kart games are on my top list of longest or most played games, together with Final Fantasy XI, Borderlands 2 and...

I'm really sorry for the lack of updates as of late. When I wasn't at work, eating or sleeping I was playing Final Fantasy XIV - a lot. Well, I played it pretty much on any occasion, but I'm not one of those players who just rush through a game and get to max level in one or two weeks. For now our highest jobs are White Mage and Dragoon with level 30, followed by Arcanist and Marauder at level 25. I also spend a lot time on the gathering and crafting classes to get good materials and create my own armor....

When there are so many new games coming out, it's a sure sign that summer is over. There's not only Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn and Tales of Xillia (and others would also add games like Saints Row 4 and Payday 2 to the list) that came out in the last past weeks, but there's also the second One Piece Pirate Warriors game, which was released last week. We got the Collector's Edition, which comes with a great figure of Luffy. Here's our unboxing video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_Ei38er5Ug As you can see, this time we were better prepared and checked out and opened...

Let's celebrate, there's a new JRPG out! Finally also fans from outside Japan are able to buy and play Tales of Xillia (at least if you didn't get the japanese import version yet), which came out in Japan already two years ago. It was clear right from the beginning that we would buy this game, but when we read that there will be a special collector's edition of the game with a beautiful Milla figure for preorder at the official Namco Bandai store (later also available on other sites as amazon) we knew we had to get this special limited edition. We...

I'm finally allowed to talk about Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and can show you some of the first screenshots from Beta Phase 3 ^,^! First of all: A Realm Reborn is a lot better than Version 1! Well it would be pretty bad if not, but now you can finally enjoy the game, how it should have been from the start. As you might know I've been playing Final Fantasy XI for over 8 years now. We started playing in April 2004 and I love this MMORPG more than any other MMO. It just has everything: A perfectly big...

OMG OMG OMG! Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XV (formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII) and Kingdom Hearts III for Sony PlayStation!!! I'm so happy and overwhelmed because both are looking soooo cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3xKbPooKAo [ Source: IGN ] First of all: It looks so great! It seems to be a lot more action-orientated than the main Final Fantasy games before, but as I'm also a big fan of games like Kingdom Hearts, Drakengard and the newer action MMORPGs, it's alright for me. As long as you have at least some freedom to explore, a lot of cool sidequests and a great diverse fighting system,...
