Super Mario Card Matching Game

Club Nintendo - Super Mario Card Matching Game

Last year Nintendo’s loyalty program Club Nintendo closed and before all our coins which we collected over all those years with our Wii, WiiU, DS and 3DS games, were gone for good, we had to cash them in for some rewards. You could get download codes for games, or special 3DS backgrounds, but we rather wanted to have some physical item. There were all kinds of stuff available over the years like pouches, coaster sets, game soundtracks or a Yoshi egg backpack, but with the coins we had, we decided to get the Club Nintendo exclusive Super Mario Card Matching…

Vienna Comic Con 2015 – Our Loot

Hi everyone, this will be the last post about Vienna Comic Con 2015. Yes, finally! In fact, this post won’t be about the convention, in particular, but about all the stuff we bought or got while our visit. We didn’t buy that much because we had a more or less fixed and tight budget to spend on goods, but we got some nice things, which I’ll show you now Funko Pops! I’ve been heavily in love with Funko’s cute vinyl chibi figures called Pop! for a long time already, but never really had the money to buy one. So for…

Wir sind die Jäger – Mikasa & Eren

Recently I realized that I never showed you what we bought at AniNite 2014. I never wrote a blog post because we didn’t stay that long last year, but I really wanted to show you the figures we bought back then: Eren and Mikasa from Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan. Aside from these figures we also bought a King Boo Sensor Lamp, which we used as a night light for Flynn for some time (^,^°), a Kuroko no Basuke Seirin shoulder bag for Tom, a Shingeki no Kyojin hoodie for Tom (unfortunately I don’t have any picture of it) and…

Back on the Road Again

It’s time for Mario Kart again! I’ve been waiting for Mario Kart 8 for ages now, and finally yesterday was the release day. Of course we had to get the Limited Edition with a blue shell figurine XD. Here you can see the box. I couldn’t wait to open it! And here’s the game and the blue shell. I does look a bit intimidating, doesn’t it? I think it’s a really cool item. It matches our Mario figure collection perfectly! The Mario Kart games are on my top list of longest or most played games, together with Final Fantasy XI,…

I’m Batman

Not that long ago the first Lego Store in Austria was opened in the Shopping City Süd and of course we had to visit it. They had so many great Lego sets, that we’ve never seen before: The tower of Saruman from Lord of the Rings, the Ewok village from Star Wars, and also all of the Marvel and DC Super Heroes sets. And then we saw the Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout set. It looked really creative and had great Minifigures like Batman and Robin of course, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy. The Penguin even has shorter…

One Piece Pirate Warriors 2 Collector’s Edition

When there are so many new games coming out, it’s a sure sign that summer is over. There’s not only Final Fantasy XIV – A Realm Reborn and Tales of Xillia (and others would also add games like Saints Row 4 and Payday 2 to the list) that came out in the last past weeks, but there’s also the second One Piece Pirate Warriors game, which was released last week. We got the Collector’s Edition, which comes with a great figure of Luffy. Here’s our unboxing video: As you can see, this time we were better prepared and checked out…

Nocturnal Friends

Yay, I got two brand new NICI plushies: Oscar Owl and the new spider from Moonville: I really love the striped fabric they used for the feet. It looks like he’s wearing some cute striped socks. You can also turn his head right around like real owls do, but it looks a little bit painful for him. I named him Archimedes like the grumpy owl in the old Disney movie “The Sword in the Stone” (Die Hexe und der Zauberer/Merlin und Mim). Oh how I love this movie. We watched it again not that long ago on Disney Channel. If…

Tales of Xillia – Milla Maxwell Collector’s Edition

Let’s celebrate, there’s a new JRPG out! Finally also fans from outside Japan are able to buy and play Tales of Xillia (at least if you didn’t get the japanese import version yet), which came out in Japan already two years ago. It was clear right from the beginning that we would buy this game, but when we read that there will be a special collector’s edition of the game with a beautiful Milla figure for preorder at the official Namco Bandai store (later also available on other sites as amazon) we knew we had to get this special limited…
